Dr. Tart serves as founding dean and professor for the College of Nursing at the University of Houston. The nursing programs are offered at the University of Houston, UH at Sugar Land, UH at Katy and Victoria, Texas. Her work in nursing education includes teaching at Victoria College, Texas Woman’s University in the Texas Medical Center, and as the Founding Dean for the University of Houston-Victoria. She served on the Government Affairs Committee for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in Washington, DC. She serves on numerous nursing committees for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Texas Board of Nursing, the Good Samaritan Foundation and Nurseify
